What are parasites?
Explain Parasites
Parasites are living organisms that take their nutrition from other living organisms without killing them. This mode of nutrition is known as a parasitic mode of nutrition. They are part of the heterotrophic nutrition; all the organisms that are parasites are confirmed heterotrophs.
Example- A host may be a plant or an animal parasite in this mode; nutrition is observed in several fungi, bacteria, and a few plants like Cuscuta and some animals like plasmodium, roundworm, these cause several diseases like malaria.
