Animals and plants are both living things. They both can breathe, sense, and feed. But there are so many differences between them. For example, animals can move, but plants can’t; many animals can talk, but plants can’t; moreover, they have very different kinds of cells, so let’s find out what the differences are between animal cells and plant cells.

Difference between animal and plant cells:-

There are some common structures between animals and plants, like cell membranes, nuclei, mitochondria, and vacuoles.

But so many differences can be seen between them, like-

Animal cells don’t have walls, but plant cells do. It gives support and shape to the plants.

Plant cells contain chloroplasts, but animal cells don’t. Plants can perform photosynthesis with the help of chloroplasts.

Animal cells have smaller vacuoles, but plant cells have one or more large vacuoles.

Plant cells have a Nucleus that lies on the side of it, and the presence of animal cells can be seen in the center of a cell.

The presence of lysosomes is very rare in plant cells, but it is usually present in animal cells.

Centrosomes are not present in plant cells, but they can be observed in animal cells.

The mode of nutrition of plant cells is autotrophic, but in animal cells, it is Heterotrophic.

Mitochondria are present in the lowest number in the plant cells, but it present largely in the animal cells.

Cilia are present in most animal cells, but it’s absent in plant cells.

Plastids are absent in animal cells, but it is seen in plant cells.
