Reply To: Why is ozone layer important?

Ozone protects the world from harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays from the Sun. while not the layer within the atmosphere, life on Earth would be terribly troublesome. Plants cannot live and grow in significant UV, nor will the planktons that function food for many of the ocean life. With a weakening of the layer protect, humans would be a lot of vulnerable to carcinoma, cataracts and impaired immune systems.
