    Oral hygiene is a daily practice that one follows to keep their mouth clean and free from oral diseases. It includes regular brushing and flossing. It is also advisable to have regular dental an oral check-up twice a year.

    One of the major reasons to maintain oral hygiene is to avoid plaque, which if happens, can cause tooth decay and swollen gums.

    Apart from this, following are list of reasons to showcase importance of maintaining oral hygiene:

    · Overall health damage

    In all, it effects one’s body system, as due to oral issues, you are restricted from eating delicacies and also, one doesn’t feel like eating anything. This can cause severe health damage.

    · Oral diseases at early stage

    Oral disease is something no one would ever want to suffer from. But, improper practices can lead to diseases which are very painful and damaging.

    · Prevents tooth loss

    One must make sure to take care of their teeth, to make sure they don’t end up losing them. It can cause pain, and can be saddening too.

    Maintaining oral hygiene makes it easier for the doctor to device plan for tooth treatments and make it convenient.
