Rabindranath Tagore was born on 7 may 1861 in kolkata. Young rabi was raised by servants since his mother died early. He was trained in music from the beginning. He in his later life composed 2 iconic songs which are now adopted as the national anthem of 2 nations – India and Bangladesh.

Rabindranath Tagore was the youngest of 13 siblings. His heart never gave in for bookish knowledge, he always wanted to study through nature. He therefore went on to establish shantiniketan. This university is one of it’s kind. Here vocational training is also imparted to students along with academic qualifications.
