Archimedes’ principle states that the upward buoyant force that is exerted on a body immersed in a fluid, whether fully or partially, is equal to the weight of the fluid that the body displaces. This principle is considered as the basic principle of fluid mechanics. This principle became famous through his words Eureka Eureka ! . These words were produced by him when he invented the theory . Some historians say that he even ran naked through the streets when he discovered it. This theory can be applied on our daily life also. Archimedes’ principle describes how ships float, submarines dive, hot air balloons fly, and many others examples.

This equation itself is used in many fields including purity checking.
