The quit India Movement was one of the main stepping stone in the history of freedom struggle of India. This moment it was launched by Mahatma Gandhi and it aimed at complete withdrawal of the British from the Indian territory. The main factors that triggered the launch of the Quit India Movement were the failures of cripps mission in India and the post war effects of the World War II. Both these factors created a large amount of chaos among Indian population.

The common people took part in this movement in large numbers. People chanted National slogans and songs on roads the carried hartal and demonstrations and processions. People voluntarily wanted to involve themselves in the freedom struggle and this was the non violent movement.
