There were many great writers in the history of India. It doesn’t make a difference by what they wrote. Be it writing novels, short stories, or some essays, or any other creative content. All of them were the best writers of their age. The most famous and probably the best writer, William Shakespeare has been the King of English literary history of his time.
Another great English author is Jane Austen. She was born in the year 1775. Some people say that she was the best just after Shakespeare. It is said that she was the greatest English novelist. She was also one of the most famous women who has ever lived. She had started writing novels very early in her life. Even when she was young, the novels that she wrote were perfectly shaped.
Then comes another great author of the time, William Blake. He was born in the year 1757. He was not only regarded as a painter or a poet but also he secured his place in the top ten list of English writers. He was very much disregarded just because he was always very futuristic. He wrote his novels much ahead of time. He also opposed religion. This was clearly reflected in his poems. In one of his poems, “The Garden Of Love”, he accused the church of natural human activity i.e sex.
Next comes the great giant of Indian poetry, Geoffrey Chaucer. His verse is still taken into consideration for theater performances. It is full of characters, people can easily relate to it as it is about the real-life scenario. It is about the type that we encounter in our daily life.
Charles Dickens, born in the year 1812 was an extraordinary writer. He is best known for writing novels. He has written some amazing novels like Oliver Twist, David Copperfield, Great Expectations, A Tale of Two Cities, Bleak House, and several others.
