He ordered his country to worship him rather than God, and he spared no one, including his son. But his son, Prahlad, did not worship him. Prahlad, a devout devotee in Lord Vishnu, refused to worship his father instead of God. The demon king plotted with his sister to assassinate Prahlad after witnessing his disobedience. He forced her to sit in front of the fire with his kid on her lap, where Holika was burnt while Prahlad escaped unscathed. As a result of his dedication, he was protected by his Lord. As a result, people began to celebrate Holi as the triumph of virtue over evil.

People in North India, in particular, celebrate Holi with zeal and zeal. People perform a rite called ‘Holika Dahan’ one day before Holi.
