It is rightly said that “When you plant a tree, you plant a life”. Trees are the best gifts that Mother Earth has given us. The important thing that we should constantly remember is that trees do not need us, we need them. They provide us with several benefits in life. Mother Earth has given us this beautiful selfless gift. They never expect anything in return.

When it comes to humans, they often forget the importance and value of trees in our lives. They continue to exploit these selfless creatures. We can say that our friends are not there for us all the time, but trees are there forever and still, we are unable to understand their worth. They provide us shade, fruits, vegetables, and many more. It is almost impossible to survive without trees. The most important thing required for our survival is provided by trees, that is Oxygen. It is said that there are three basic things that a person required to survive in this world- Food, clothes, and home. Out of these, two are provided by trees themselves. They provide us with shade, which is a shelter for many living beings like animals, birds, and human beings as well. We also get all the vegetables from different trees. If we don’t have any trees on the planet, we won’t be able to survive. They are useful for providing us oxygen- the most required thing for humans.

Apart from giving so many things, they also prevent natural calamities like floods and droughts. They bind the soil tightly which prevents the soil to erode as well.

Despite having such a significant role in our life, humans are continuously exploiting nature and trees which are the only source of our survival. People are cutting down trees to make houses, or to set up factories. We should teach our future generation to protect trees rather than cutting them.
