    The siege of Seringapatam in 1792, was a battle, and the siege of Mysore, the capital of Seringapatam (Srirangapatna), at the end of the Third Anglo-Mysore War. An army led by Charles, Earl Cornwallis, the British east india company and British Army forces, as well as the allied forces of the maratha style of the Kingdom, and the Nizam of Hyderabad, visited Seringapatam on 5 February 1792, and in less than three weeks after the battle, and the siege, and took the Tipu Sultan’s defeat. With his agreement to the Treaty of Seringapatam on 18 March 1792, the war was over.

    The prospect of Tipu Sultan, who is a Muslim, Mysore’s ruler of the empire greatly reduced in number, in 1791, the campaign of the Third Anglo-Mysore War.
