Operations (OR) research is an analytical approach to problem-solving and decision-making that is useful in organizational management. In performance research, problems are broken down into basic components and solved by steps described in statistical analysis.
The performance research process can be divided into the following steps:
It identifies a problem that needs to be solved.
Creating a model around the problem is like real world and diversity.
A model is used to find problem solutions.
Evaluate each solution in the model and analyze its effectiveness.
Implementing a real problem solution.
Areas similar to or encountered, performance research include mathematical analysis, management science, game theory, performance theory, artificial intelligence and network analysis. All of these approaches aim to solve complex problems and improve accounting decisions.
The concept of performance research emerged during World War II by military planners. After the war, the strategies used in their performance research were used to address problems in business, government and society.
