Other self-care tips include:
Stay healthy, eat a healthy diet, get enough sleep, exercise regularly, and avoid drugs and alcohol. Manage stress and get regular medical checkups.
Practice cleanliness. Good hygiene is important for social, medical, and psychological reasons because it not only reduces the risk of illness but also improves the way others view you and the way you view yourself.
See friends to build your sense of membership. Consider joining a support group to make new friends.
Try to do something you love every day. That might mean dancing, watching a favorite TV program, working in the garden, painting, or reading.
Find ways to relax, such as meditation, yoga, massage, bathing, or hiking.
