Reply To: Why do leeches suck our blood?

Leeches are worms which live in the sea or on land and eat by sucking blood from fish, frogs, lizards,, or, if given the opportunity, bigger animals such as people. They drink blood because it is an excellent source of nourishment for them. Leeches, like other blood suckers, want to bite without inflicting too much pain.
