Earths atmosphere is made up of different layers.
1. Troposphere: It is the lowest layer of the atmosphere. It is 8-15 km above the ground. This layer contains the oxygen that we breathe.
2. Stratosphere: It lies above the troposphere which goes up to 50 km. This the important layer because it contains OZONE LAYER. ozone layer protects us from UV rays.
3. Mesosphere: It extends up to 85 km. It is known for its low temperatures, where it gets colder with increasing the altitude.
4. Thermosphere: It extends up to 600 km. This layer absorbs high radiation from the sun thereby the temperature increases.
5. Exosphere: This the outermost layer. It starts around 600 km above the earths surface. It mainly consists of Hydrogen and Helium gases.
