Acrylic painting is a great starting spot for beginners, it requires relatively few things and dries faster which can be both a Bane and a boon.

To begin with you do not need much, start with a student grade set of acrylic paints (six colours would do fine) and get yourself three brushes, a small, a medium, and a large. Now all you need is a paper and some water.

Try picking a good quality paper, but you need not burn a hole in your pocket, for a beginner it’s completely fine to buy a sketchbook and fill the pages with whatever you want to paint.

I would suggest you begin by making something you like, wether it’s flowers, the sky, pets, people anything. The basic idea is just to begin!
