The tense used to talk about things that keep happening or recur regularly is the present simple tense.

The present simple tense is used to describe:

    1. Habitual or repeated actions:

      • Example: “I go to the gym every morning.”
      • Example: “The sun rises in the east and sets in the west.”
    2. Permanent or general statements:

      • Example: “Water boils at 100 degrees Celsius.”
      • Example: “Elephants are the largest land animals.”
    3. Facts and observations:

      • Example: “The Earth revolves around the sun.”
      • Example: “Birds migrate to warmer climates in the winter.”

The present simple tense is the appropriate choice when discussing actions, facts, or phenomena that occur regularly, habitually, or continuously. It is the tense used to convey the idea of things that keep happening or recur on a regular basis.

In contrast, other tenses like the present continuous, past simple, or present perfect would be used to discuss specific, one-time events, or ongoing actions that are currently in progress.
