Making a paper mask can be a fun and creative project! Here’s a simple guide to help you create one:

    Materials Needed:

    Sturdy paper or cardstock

    Scissors

    Pencil

    Markers, paint, or colored pencils

    Glue (optional)

Elastic string or ribbon (for wearing the mask)

Decorative items (like feathers, glitter, or stickers, if desired)

    Steps:

Choose a Design: Decide what type of mask you want to create. It could be an animal, a superhero, a character, or a simple face.

    Draw the Mask Template:

On the paper, draw the outline of the mask, including eye holes and any other features you want (like ears or a nose). You can also find templates online to print and use.

Cut Out the Mask: Carefully cut out the mask shape along the outline, making sure to cut out the eye holes as well.

    Decorate the Mask:

Use markers, paint, or colored pencils to add color and details to your mask. You can also glue on decorative items like feathers or stickers for extra flair.

    Create Holes for Ties:

Use a hole punch to make holes on either side of the mask. This is where you’ll attach the elastic string or ribbon.

    Attach the Elastic or Ribbon:

Cut a piece of elastic string or ribbon long enough to fit around your head. Tie it through the holes you made on either side of the mask.

Try It On: Once everything is dry, put on your mask and adjust the ties for a comfortable fit!

    Tips:

If you want a sturdier mask, consider using multiple layers of paper or gluing the paper to a piece of cardboard.

You can also explore using paper mache for a more three-dimensional mask.
