Since childhood, if there is a memory which has held strong over all others is reading books. Mobiles or cell phones are a phenomenon of the recent times, in spite of their widespread popularity and prevalence. However, books have existed since ancient times and our one of the most important sources of knowledge and information.
To put it simply, books are our best friends because they speak our language and tell us of the wonders of the world. There are thousands of genres and millions of stories to read across the world. All the languages of the world enrich their culture through books.
Books tingle our imagination and provide food for thought. Although our textbooks may not seem like friends, they are the ones preparing us for the world ahead of us. When we read a book, we are immediately drawn into its contents. We develop analytical skills and critical thinking abilities.
And lastly, books are good for our physical and mental health. We do not strain our eyes reading books nor do we face issues of addiction or self-esteem when reading books. they only help us grow and learn.
Hence, books are and will always be our best friends.
