The idea escaped after World War II, when a few writers caught up in this loss to raise unreasonable power in the work, pointing out that this could be the result of extraordinary events or the work of extraterrestrial creatures.
The Mystery of Flight 19, a group of five torpedo bombers that went missing without a contract or reason in 1945, added momentum to this fantasy. In a general article on the story surrounding the triangle, one commentator suggested that the American investigation board said the Flight 19 plane “flew to Mars”.
In fact the Bermuda Triangle is one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world, so the number of ships and planes lost here is equal to the number lost in the rest of the world.
The region regularly sees violent storms, which also help to explain the sudden and seemingly unexplained loss of ships and planes.

If Bermuda Triangle is really the danger zone it purported to be- and again, the evidence suggests it’s not, there are plenty of rational reasons why aircraft and seaborne vessels would disappear over certain parts of the ocean. The most likely theories involve geography. not aliens or angry Atlantians. One explanation cites the facts that ocean floor is relatively rich in methane, which can form a gas ice sediment mix high pressure. If an underwater landside occurs, this noxious mixture can burst out from the sea floor, entering the atmosphere and either intoxicating pilots or changing the density of the surrounding air and interfering with normal piloting.

While, allegedly, ships and planes disappear on clear days and without a trace, neither statement is true. Most disappearances happen in bad weather; and the disappeared ships and places have been found on the bottom of the sea.
It is possible that a phenomenon known as “blue holes” may explain some of the ships disappearing. Blue holes are submarine limestone caves of incredible depth. There is reason to believe that blue holes can engender whirlpools, which could account for ships disappearing.
It has been suggested that a freak magnetic phenomenon can account for the planes going down. That has not been proven.
But the most likely explanations involve bad weather, and possibly blue holes. All of which are natural and terrestrial phenomena. There is no reason to assume the supernatural or the extraterrestrial.
So: yes, it exists. No, there’s nothing special or supernatural about it.
