“Any food can criticize, condemn, and complain but it takes character and self-control to be understanding and forgiving”.

At some point in life, everyone faces a sort of criticism and we should know how to deal with it positively. Sometimes it gets difficult for us to face it but eventually, we have to do it. We can deal with it in two ways, either be positive about it and do something good, or lower your self-esteem and move on the depression side.

When criticized by a third person, it gets obvious to react in a negative manner but if we can control ourselves, and look at the bright side and maybe improve after that, nothing can be greater than that. Criticism is basically of two types- constructive criticism and destructive criticism.

Constructive criticism is the one in which the other person points out our mistakes, but also helps us in digging out the room for improvement. It can be taken as the positive feedback that someone offers us. It is just like we used to get in our schools. While in the Parents’ teacher meeting, the teachers used to complain to our parents about our behavior but they also helped us to improve and overcome those mistakes.

Destructive Criticism, on the other hand, is mostly done by a person who is jealous of our well-being. It is the one that is deliberately given by a person. It is often negative feedback given by someone. Destructive Criticism is often malicious and hurtful. In some cases, it may lead to exclusive anger. It also induces aggression. But in either of the cases, we should remember that we have to move on after taking that criticism and improve ourselves. We have to use these criticisms as an advantage for us and use that to move up the ladder in life.
