    According to the Forest Survey of India (FSI), there are around 4,975 square kilometers of mangrove cover in the country. These mangrove forests are distributed along the coastal regions of states such as West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. However, please note that the actual extent of mangrove cover may have changed since my last update, and it is always a good idea to refer to the latest data from reliable sources for the most accurate and up-to-date information on the subject.
