This phrase basically doesn’t judge anything or anyone by its outlook. When you frost make a acquaintance with a person you just saw their appearance you can’t judge his or her character by their look. Like If you saw a good looking person you only see their outfit, skin color and face structure, but can you see above that like what’s going on their mind, or how they treat others, or are their behavior good or not?, now we can’t see anything beyond that. What if that beautiful person turned out to be disgusting by nature, or didn’t have any talent or skills. Thus the outside appearance can mislead us.
