The generation of computers can be date back to 1930s . Before discussing about evolution of computers, we have to remember a great person , who made an impact on the world with the invention of modern computer. He is known as the father of the computer and he is none other than respected scientist Charles Babbage . May his soul rest in peace.
Some people considers abacus as the first version of computer since it was used to perform simple mathematical problems.The first full-sized digital computer in history was developed in 1944. Called the Mark I, this computer was used only for calculations and weighed five tons. The first generation of computers took place from 1940 to 1956 and was extremely large in size. Fourth generation conputers introduced microprocessors which enabled input output rapid functioning.Current generation is included in the fifth generation and computers are changing day by day with novel inventions.
