    Depression

    A mental health illness defined by consistently low mood or loss of interest in things or other activities, resulting in substantial impairment in everyday living.

    Some of the ways to overcome depression are:

    a. Self-pampering– Take out some time for yourself, listen to some good music, dance, get a massage, do whatever you like, and enjoy.

    b. Healthy food- Have a balanced diet. Do not skip your meals. Include green vegetables and fruits in your diet. Have protein in your diet.

    c. Exercise daily– Often, exercise to ensure that oxygen reaches every cell in the body, allowing your brain and body to function at their fullest.

    d. Talk to others– Spend time with family or friends. As when you are engaged in some other activities your mind doesn’t go towards negativity. Talking to other people will bring positivity and happiness in your life.

    e. Positive attitude– Read positive quotes daily. Stay away from negative thoughts. Surround yourself with people from whom you get positive vibes.

    f. Meditation– Do meditation for at least 15-20 minutes daily. Close your eyes and inhale and exhale slowly. Do not think about anything while meditating.

    g. Proper sleep– Your body needs proper rest, lethargic body can’t function well. Get proper sleep of 7-8 hours daily.

    h. Aromatherapy– Scents like lavender, chamomile, and sandalwood, whether in oil, incense, or a candle, can be very relaxing.

    i. Writing– Write down those things which make you feel anxious, or write down your negative thoughts. Once you will write those thoughts, all negativity will go from your brain now.

    j. Vacation– If you can go on a short trip. Plan short trips with your friends and family. A change of location will help your mind to relax

    Yoga:-

    Yoga is also equally important to be mentally calm. Practicing 15 minutes of yoga is so beneficial. All the asanas helps to get stronger muscles with the fitter body and good lifestyle with mental calmness. Yoga relives from the stress and tension we have had. Sparing at least 10 to 15 minutes time on yoga benefit is a lot. It relaxes the muscle and calms the mind. It helps to be physically fit and mentally strong. All the asanas and pranayama helps to Gain strength and to be physically fit.

    It helps to be fitter and healthier. It helps to have a healthy lifestyle. Exercise helps to have healthy muscles and it also helps in weight loss who is suffering from obesity and excessive weight. Exercise is the healthy habit that must be added in the healthy lifestyle and must be practiced without any delay.

    Exercising, meditation, yoga etc. are great things to regain the strength and to be fitter and also happy.

    Depression and anxiety are very common problem these days starting from teenager to elderly adults anyone and everyone can face this at any point in life and they equally affect us as any physical disease does, many people don’t take mental health seriously but it is outmost necessary to do so. Here are a few simple daily habits which will help you to deal with depression:

    1. Stay away from negative thoughts, and always try to focus on the filled part of the glass and try not to worry about the empty.

    2. Practice meditation regularly it helps to calm one’s mind and helps in relaxing the brain.

    3. Try to stay out from field where you feel irritated and also do try ignoring unnecessary mess.

    4. Physical exercising is a must for a healthy mind as it keeps the body fit and also helps keeping negativity away.

    5. The physical environment where one spends time and the company of people with which one spend time also plays a key role in determining the and dealing with depression issues.

    6. One must also take care of the diet, consuming fresh fruits and vegetables are highly recommended and one must take care that proper diet is consumed.
