We all are aware about the ever-increasing pollution in our environment and plastic is one of the major elements that causes environmental pollution, it is non-biodegradable in nature and thus do not mix with either soil or water on long term exposure and remains in the earth causing toxicity and also chokes animals. Plastic is a material that we use in every step of our lives specially to carry and wrap up things. But there is a very good as well as sustainable alternative for this, we can use jute bags in place of plastic bags to carry things. Jute being a plant product is biodegradable and thus won’t add up to the environmental pollution, the can even be used in long term as well as they can be reused as jute has strength and it is also tensile.
But on the other hand, the use of plastic cannot be totally stopped as plastic is not only used to produce carry bags it has many other utilities which jute cannot serve also plastic is very affordable as compared to jute so we can reduce the use of plastic bags by replacing them with the jute ones but cannot completely stop using them.

Rather, we should try to use some of its alternatives. Jute is the best alternative to plastic.

Unlike plastic bags, jute bags are not harmful to food products. It is said that eating out of plastic containers may cause cancer. Jute is not dangerous to us or the environment as a whole. These products are extremely important because of their flexible nature. They are used for the packaging of food. They are also very comfortable to be used to carry bulky items.
