    Peacock is the national bird of India. Peacock is a bird that has huge national importance in India. This bird is famous for its beautiful multiple colours. The Peacock is popular for its tremendous beauty. It certainly has a fascinating look. When it dances during the rainy season, it is a great pleasure. Its beautiful colours instantly make our eyes comfortable to watch. The Peacock has a religious involvement in Indian traditions. So we are pleased to have Peacock as the National Bird of India.Peacocks are actually the males of the species. They have a stunning appearance. For this the bird gets a huge appreciation from around the globe. The length from the tip of the beak to the end of the train is 195 to 225 cm. Their weight is approximately 5 kg. Peacocks are iridescent of blue color on their head, neck, and breast. They also have patches of white around the eyes.Peacock’s crest has feathers on top of the head. The most beautiful feature of the Peacock is the incredibly beautiful tail. This tail is known as a train. Moreover, this train becomes fully developed after 4 years of hatching. The 200 odd feathers grow from the back.These feathers are part of the elongated upper tail. But the association of the feathers is loose.The Peacock has black wings which are greyish brown in colour. The back wings are short and dull. Peacocks have seeds, insects, fruits and even small mammals as food. They basically lived in small groups. The group contains approximately single male and 3-5 females. They stay on the upper branch of trees. Peacocks run in danger rather than flying. This stunning gorgeous bird is the pride of India. If you take a glimpse of it can delight your heart. Peacock is the true representative of India’s beauty. It is not wrong to say that it is the honor of India.

These feathers are also a component of the huge, extended upper tail. The train feathers lack barbs to keep the feathers in place. As a result, the feathers’ connection is shaky.

    The Peacock’s rear wings are greyish brown in color. Another thing to keep in mind is that the back wings are short and drab. Peacocks eat a variety of foods. They also feed on seeds, insects, fruits, and even small animals. They also dwell in tiny groups. A group will most likely consist of a single male and 3-5 females. To avoid predators, they like to dwell on the high branches of a large tree. When under danger, peacocks prefer to flee rather than fly. Most notably, peacocks are quick on their feet.
