    <div>The chief function of Red blood cells(RBCs) is to transport oxygen throughout the body. The RBCs(consisting of hemoglobin) binds to the oxygen molecules and transports it into desired organs or tissues.</div>

    RBCs also help in the redness of the blood.

    Red blood corpuscles or erythrocytes is the oxygen carrying cell of the body from lungs . It carries a protein called Haemoglobin which further contain Iron which can bind 4 molecules of oxygen. It is formed in bone marrow and its formation is known as Erythrogenesis. RBC life span is 120 days and does not contain Nucleus.
