Human beings otherwise known as homo sapiens are included under the category of homoeothermal animals or to be frank, animals which are warm blooded. In this category of organisms , the body of organisms maintain a regular constant body temparature under varying surroundings and circumstances . Human body maintains a constant body temparature of 36.5–37.5 °Celsius or 97.7–99.5 °Fahrenheit . This maintenance of temparature by the body is for the normal functioning of systems. A variation from this temparature would cause body systems to malfunction . When the temparature maintenance changes , we have to assume that some kind of defense mechanism has been started inside our body. The body raises temparature inorder to react against the foreign bodies inside the body. Fever is happened as a part of this. By doing so the opposite foreign bodies cannot continue the progeny due to the higher temparature and the body overcome the disease. It is not suggested to reduce the fever by taking drugs for reducing temperature . These drugs are known as anti pyretics . Other traditional methods include putting wet cloth on forehead etc. It is normal for the body to exhibit higher body temperature after heavy work or too much time standing under sun.
