The brain has three major parts or region, namely the fore-brain, mid-brain and hind-brain.
The fore-brain is the main thinking part of the brain. it has regions which revives sensory impulses from various receptors. Separate areas of the fore-brain are specialized for hearing, smell, sensing and so on. It also has a region where all the sensory information is processed by putting the stored and the information received by the other receptors together, then when a decision is made, that how to react the information is released on to the motor area which control the movement of voluntary muscle in order to react. Example- legs, arms, head, etc.
The mid-brain and the hind-brain work together performing almost all same task. They control the involuntary movement in our body. Example- watering of mouth, beating of hearth, we don’t need to remember to breath or digest or food.. These parts of brain control the movement that we cannot control even if we think of them or not, the process just keep on going without making us realize that something is happening. Some of these involuntary actions including blood pressure, salivation and vomiting are controlled by the medulla and hind brain.
