Every house has many types of electrical appliances. This may be electrical bulbs, refrigerator , washing machine, air cooler, ceiling fan etc. Many of these appliances are costly a washing machine costs approximately minimum six thousand rupees. The speciality of the fuse wire is that it has a very low melting point. The melting point of fuse wire is approximately 200 degree celsius . If the temperature increases beyond that , the fuse wire would break causing a block in the electrical supply . We all know that when electricity passes through a conductor it creates heat energy. So if a sudden short circuit or overload occurs , the temperature increases drastically . This would lead to the breaking of the circuit . Thus protecting the appliances connected on that circuit.
