People tend to become sad or upset when their wishes are not fulfilled or when someone or something doesn’t function according to them. In a more simplified language when there is a feeling of loss, emptiness, an undignified gap between our expectations and reality, we tend to get disappointed. Disappointment is just a fancy word for being sad. Disappointment is an emotion, a feeling of sadness but, that doesn’t mean it’s a wrong emotion that should be avoided at all costs. We often try to please other people through our words or actions. That’s when people start expecting things from us and if we don’t fulfill their needs or don’t function according to them they use the word “let down” or “disappointed.”
Throughout your life, you will face disappointments, and you need to learn how to deal with them in life. You continuously discover things that are out of your control, and you have to tolerate them without feeling sad. The best way to deal with it is to acknowledge the thing and try to work on it to make it better. And this is a fact, that you will have to deal with disappointment in your life, nobody can go through life without dealing with it. It is worthwhile that you learn and move forward with it.
Disappointments may find you in different ways like the death of a closed one, some health issues, troubled relationships, loss of a job, etc. but, you should not allow these obstacles to stop you from following your goal.
Your primary goal in life should be to overcome all those disappointments life throws on you and move forward by learning something from it. Every trouble and obstacle you face in life is a way of empowering you in different ways. Life is like a test. You need to pass every obstacle and move forward.
