Event management deals with managing an event, whether it’s a low-scale event, which can be a low-scale brunch of business class people to large-scale functions such as weddings and award functions. It includes studying the requirements of the target audience, understanding their needs, working upon them, and coordinating with all the working people needed like the technical team, caterers sponsors if there. Many big or small industries, charitable organizations, and NGOs book these event managers to smoothly carry out the function. The people who are involved in creating, scheduling, and managing the event management are called event managers, and there’s a proper course which are seen taught in the colleges for the same. These event managers manage the third-party vendors, budgeting, scheduling, site selection, acquiring necessary permits, coordinating transportation and parking, arranging for speakers or entertainers, arranging decor, event security, catering, coordinating with third-party vendors, and emergency plans. Each event is different, so the process of planning & execution of each event differs based on the type of event.
The event manager is the person who plans and executes the event, taking responsibility for the creative, technical, and logistical elements. This includes overall event design, brand building, marketing and communication strategy, audio-visual production, script writing, logistics, budgeting, negotiation, and client service.
