Importance Of The Ozone Layer

Why is the ozone layer important?

Importance Of The Ozone Layer

Ozone protects the world from harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays from the Sun. while not the layer within the atmosphere, life on Earth would be in trouble. Plants cannot live and grow in significant UV, nor will the planktons that function as food for many of the ocean life. With a weakening of the layer protect, humans would be a lot of vulnerable to carcinoma, cataracts and impaired immune systems.

The ozone layer acts as a layer which is the top most protective layer in the atmosphere of earth. It protects the earth from UV rays, i.e. ultra violent radiations, which comes directly from the sun. If this layer disappears, then all the living organisms will face numerous changes in their atmosphere, health, and lifestyle. People will suffer from skin cancer, deadly skin burns, and extreme heat. The ultra-violent rays will directly attack the earth as there is no optical for it in its way. It will increase the earth’s temperature, which will cause climate changes, melting of glaciers, floods, and extinction of some animal species. Humans will become sick and start dying as in the glacier there are so many unknown viruses and bacteria’s trapped. They will be into the atmosphere because of UV rays.

So, it’s important to protect the ozone layer.
