Definition:-

Noun is part of speech which indefinitely and describe different kinds of names, like name of people, object, place, quality etc.

Example: Mahatma Gandhi, India, Kolkata, Ganga, Bus, Sun, etc.

There, you can see all of these are identified by a particular name, like Mahatma Gandhi is a name of a person and Kolkata is the name of a place. So that’s why these all are a noun.

Types of Noun:-

There are 8 different kinds of nouns. These different kinds of nouns can help to identify the various types of nouns. So the name of the types are-

1) Proper Noun

2) Common Noun

3) Concrete Noun

4) Abstract Noun

5) Compound Noun

6) Collective Noun

7) Countable noun

8) Un Countable noun

Pronoun:-

Definition:-

Pronoun is parts of speech which is replaced noun or used in the place of noun in a sentence, it identity noun in a sentence.

Example:-

He, she, we, they, how, who, which, us, etc, are pronouns.

Rita is a good girl. She goes to school daily.

Here, Rita is a noun as it defines a name. In the next sentence, she is replaced by Rita. It identifies the noun in the next sentence, so she is a pronoun.

He is a good runner.

She is the prettiest girl.

They can not beat us.

Types of pronouns:-

There are 10 types of pronouns. These different kinds of pronouns can help to identify the various types of nouns. So the name of the types are-

1. Personal pronouns
2. Demonstrative pronouns
3. Interrogative pronoun
4. Indefinite pronouns
5. Possessive pronouns
6. Reciprocal pronouns
7. Relative pronouns

A noun in English grammar is defined as a naming word, which is used to name a person, place, or thing. A noun is a part of speech, Nouns can be classified into five types:

1. PROPER NOUN: A proper noun is a special name of a particular person, place, or thing. It always begins with a capital letter.

Ex: Ravi, Sheela, Akbar (Person)

Delhi, London, Agra (Place)

Television, Book, Table (Thing)

2. COMMON NOUN: A common noun is the general, ordinary name of a person. Place or a thing.

Ex: Boy, Girl, Man, Woman (Person)

Village, City, Town (Place)

Car, Furniture (Thing)

3. COLLECTIVE NOUN: A collective noun is the name of a group or a collection of similar persons.

Ex: Committee, Fleet, a flock of birds, a group of dancers, a parliament of owl.

4. ABSTRACT NOUN: An abstract noun is the name of a quality a person or a thing has, an action they take, or a state they find themselves in.

Ex: Darkness, Kindness, Bravery, Brightness.

5. MATERIAL NOUN: A material noun is the name of a substance of which a certain thing is made up.

Examples: Iron, gold, brass, marble, copper

A pronoun is a word in basic English grammar which defines a noun, There are a total of eleven classifications of pronouns:

Nouns and pronouns are the most important parts of grammar learning. It is the most valuable part of parts of speech. Nouns and pronouns are kind of related to each other, as pronouns represent nouns in a sentence. The noun is defined as a naming word of a particular sentence, and the pronoun represents it in the forthcoming sentences. There are so many differences between nouns and pronouns that help us to define both. Let’s learn about the differences.

Differences of Noun and Pronoun:-

A noun is defined as a naming word that states the names of places, persons, emotions, etc. On the other hand, a pronoun takes the place of a noun in a sentence.

A noun is a name of a meaningful word. But pronouns don’t have any meaning.

Many various types of nouns are uncountable. But pronouns are some specific words just used as a representative of a noun.

If you use a noun continually in a sentence, it can be used an extra time and effort, but a pronoun helps us to save time and space time in our communication.

Nouns are many kinds of meaningful words. But pronoun is a phrase.

Example:-

Jagadish Chandra Bose is a great scientist.

Delhi is the capital of India.

Ganga is a holy river.

Pizza is an Italian food.

I will wait at the bus stop.

The bold words are nouns.

We love to play football.

They are very bad people.

She is a great singer.

The teacher loves us all.

You can’t go there.

The bold words are pronouns.
