Stream Of Study After 10th
There are three streams after 10th. Science, commerce, arts there are choices under these three streams that you can make acording to your future planning. It depends on what you want to pursue as a career. Subjects that you will choose in 11th standard is the beginning/basics to future job. So be careful when choosing them. Before choosing the subject you should do some research in what subject you are interested in. Then you can search that through your interest which is a suitable career for you. For example if you are good at maths you can become an engineer by choosing the science side, if you are good at drawing you can go for arts. Can make a career in those fields.
Science- Physics, biology, chemistry, math.
In the science stream, you can find his four main subjects in which chemistry and physics are mandatory, and bio and maths are optional, but you have to choose one among them. You can go for physics, chemistry, bio or physics chemistry maths. The careers that you can opt for from this subject are engineer, doctor, scientist, etc.
Commerce- Business studies, accounts, economics, psychology.
In the commerce stream, business studies and accounts are mandatory, and you can choose between economics and psychology. You can become a CA, banker, accountant, businessman, cashier, etc.
Arts- The Arts stream is subdivided into two. One is arts which is for fine art, and the other one is for humanities, which has subjects like history, political science, economics, or psychology. When you go for arts side you can choose politics, become an artist in any field a lawyer, a psychologist, etc.
Now comes the language. We have two main languages, and we have to choose one language, English or Hindi. If you want to learn a third language, you can choose any of the languages that are available at your campus or college. You can pursue your career by doing further studies in these languages as well. You can become a translator, join any embassy, or become a specialised language expert, which are really good career options.

Once you have completed your higher primary education, you have the choice to choose your subjects for the higher senior secondary education. There are three streams after 10:-
•Science
It includes both PCM and PCB. It is mandatory to study five papers in class 12th so the fourth paper is of language i.e English, hindi, Assamese or according to the religion.
PCM stands for physics, chemistry, and Mathematics. That means you have chosen maths as your main paper because physics and chemistry are common to PCB also.
PCB stands for physics, chemistry, and biology.
•Commerce
It is generally chosen by the students who wants to do management couses like BBA OR MBA in future or wants to be charted accountant in future.
The paper under commerce are:-
Business studies
Accountancy
Mathematics
English
Statistics
Economics
And subsidiary as physical education or fine arts or music anything.
•Humanities or Arts
Anyone who wants to be a IAS OFFICER OR IPS OFFICER in future can Persue arts as their steam. Because arts covers all the parts required to clear competitive exams like UPSC, general competitions etc.
Their main subjects are
History
Geography
Political science
Economics
English
And as subsidiary may be physical education or fine arts or music anything.
Note:- It is not mandatory that anyone selecting any stream will have to complete her higher studies in that stream only.
You can change any stream at any time, depending upon your choice.
