Every year, millions of people are affected by human and environmental disasters. Disasters can be eruptions, earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, hurricanes, or fires. In a tragic accident, you run the risk of being killed or injured. You can also lose home, property and community. Such stress puts you at risk for emotional and physical problems.

Post-traumatic stress response looks like a normal response seen after any form of trauma. Disasters can create a whole range of mental and physical responses. You may also respond to post-event problems, as well as the causes or reminders of trauma.

    Risk Factors

There are a number of factors that make it possible for someone to have serious or long-term problems after a disaster:

    Difficulty of exposure

The amount of disaster exposure is highly correlated with the risk of future psychiatric disorders. Those most at risk are those who go through the same tragedy. The following are the ones closest to the victims. Those most at risk of lasting impact are those who had indirect exposure, such as cases of severe damage. Injuries and health threats are the leading causes of mental health problems. The study looked at severe natural disasters, such as the Armenian earthquake, the mudslide in Mexico, and Hurricane Andrew in the US. Findings indicate that at least half of these survivors have a depressive or mental health problem that requires clinical care.
