  In a bag, there are 8 red marbles, 5 blue marbles, and 3 green marbles. If one marble is randomly drawn from the bag, what is the probability of selecting a red marble?

  probability of selecting red marble=( Total num of red marbles/Total num of marbles )=8/(8+5+3)=8/16=1/2
