The summer season can be tough on your body. You need to adapt to a lot of heat changes during that time. You must apply sunscreen on your body on a daily basis and stay hydrated to protect yourself from the harmful ultraviolet rays.
Although it may be cool or warm outside, your body needs to adjust to changes in the temperature. Rising temperatures can cause many heat problems, such as dehydration, skin burns, fever, heatstroke, etc. You must eat and include seasonal foods in your diet. Staying hydrated can maintain a stronger immune system in the summer season. Here are some precautions you must take to protect yourself during the summer season
Precautions you should take during the summer season:
1. Always carry sunscreen whenever you go out.
Make sure you always apply sunscreen before going out in the scorching heat to protect yourself. It also anti-aging, thus apply sunscreen and always carry it along with you.
2. Stay hydrated.
Staying hydrated by drinking adequate water can help your immune system from the summer heat. Eat fruits rich in water content like oranges, watermelons, etc. Go for drinks like fruit juices or smoothies in summer to keep yourself fit and hydrated. It can prevent dehydration and heatstroke.
3. Avoid alcohol and other toxic liquids.
Avoid drinking excessive tea or alcohol as they cause dehydration. Instead, have some lemon juice or coconut water to stay fit and hydrated.
4. Avoid hot showers.
It is advisable to take a cool shower during summer as it provides relaxation to your mind. Warm showers can lead to drier skin and cause skin problems, especially during the summer season.
5. Avoid going out unless it is necessary.
Carrying sunscreen is an option, but try to avoid going out when it is too hot outside. It might cause sunburns and heatstroke. Cover yourself properly before going out as much as possible. Avoid long exposure to the UV rays and prefer to stay in the shade.
6. Eat regularly and a balanced diet.
It is important to eat vegetables and fruits that are rich in water content. Include some citrus fruits and lemon juice in your diet. Avoid heat-producing diets like meat, eggs, etc. Also, make sure you eat properly, but eat light during summer.
7. Switch off the lights in the room.
Switch off any extra lights in your room as it may heat up the temperature. Also, make sure your curtains are drawn if harsh sun rays peep into the room.
8. Wear comfortable clothes
Always avoid wearing tight clothes in summer. And do avoid synthetic clothes and trousers as they don’t allow good air circulation. Wear loose clothes and keep yourself free at home, but cover yourself while stepping out. Wear cotton clothes in summer and always prefer light color clothes as they don’t absorb heat.

India has basically 5 main seasons, starting from summer to rainy to winter, autumn, and spring. The summer season starts from Mid-April and lasts to June. The summer season is at its peak during mid-May. But nowadays, due to the increase in global warming and depletion of the ozone layer, we have started facing extreme hot weather conditions from April 1st weakly only. Scorching sunlight, humidity, and hot winds make us ill. So, it is very important to take safety measures while going out of the home, otherwise we will face severe diseases like diarrhea or dehydration. Sometimes, if you are working for a long time in the sunlight that you might face sunburn or skin cancer.
Safety measures include:-
The most important thing is to maintain our body water level. Being hydrated must be our priority. We should drink water from time to time, and we must carry our own water bottle when we are going outside.
2. Protect your skin with sunscreen. This will reduce the effect of UV rays on skin.
3. Wear a day Google while travelling. Also, carry umbrellas or scarves to protect yourselves.
4. Wear lightweight cotton clothes. These clothes absorb the least amount of heat and thus make you cool and comfortable.
5. Carry a glucose drink with you for an emergency.
These are some of the measures while you are going out during summer.

Summer is the brightest of all the other seasons we experience, it brings to us a wide variety of fruits and vegetables along with the scorching heat of the sun. Working outdoors becomes really tough in this season. And the scorching light and the heat waves often cause people to fall ill, which sometimes even turns critical. Also, maintaining energy level in summer is a difficult job, and it often turns out that we become tired before completing our chores.
Some of the effective measures that we can follow to save ourselves in this summer season are:
1. DRINKING WATER: Water keeps us hydrated, and we must consume a lot of water in order to keep ourselves fresh and hydrated throughout the day in summer.
2. COVER YOUR NOSE AND MOUTH: It is very important to keep a note on covering one’s nose and mouth whenever one goes out of the house in summer, this prevents breathing in the hot air and thus saves from heat strokes.
3. EAT FRUIT AND WATERY VEGETABLES: Summer not only provides us with the heat, it also provides us with the solution, as in summer we witness the availability of a wide range of fruits and vegetables.
4. WEAR COTTON CLOTHES: Dressing matters a lot in summers; one must wear cotton clothes in order to stay comfortable.
