Explain The Ecosystem and Its Components
An ecosystem is a group or community made up of living and non-living things and their interactions. They can be natural and artificial. Every environment has two elements, namely, biotic components and abiotic elements. Biotic material refers to all living things in ecology, while abiotic material refers to non-living things. This biotic and abiotic interaction maintains balance in the environment. Let’s take a closer look at parts of nature.
Components of Ecosystem
Biological elements are organisms that have a direct or indirect effect on other organisms in the environment. For example, plants, animals, and microorganisms and their pollutants.
Abiotic elements of the ecosystem include all the chemical and physical elements that are inanimate objects. Abiotic genes can vary from region to region, from one environment to another. They primarily take on the role of life support. They determine and limit population growth, quantity, and variability in biotic factors in the ecosystem. Therefore, they are called limiting factors.
The earth’s ecosystem has abiotic characteristics such as climate, soil type or rock, altitude, temperature, nutrients and minerals, and the abiotic components in the aquatic ecosystem include dissolved gases, water depth, salt, water pH, energy, light, etc.
