Rabies Virus
Rabies is a fatal disease that causes inflammation of the brain. It is caused by the deadly Rabies Virus. A rabies virus is a single-stranded RNA virus with an enveloped structure. It has a wide range of hosts and can infect mammals, birds, reptiles, and even cells of a culture medium. It has a cylindrical symmetry and belongs to the family of Rhabdoviruses.
Rabies spreads from the saliva of an infected animal.
It includes different symptoms like
fever
sore throat
cough
vomiting
fatigue
headache
anxiety
These were some common viral symptoms. However, this virus affects the brain and the symptoms are as follows:
hypersalivation
hydrophobia
hyperventilation
hallucinations
paralysis
and finally death
These were the symptoms of the fatal rabies virus.
