In our solar system, there are currently eight recognized planets. Their names, in order of their distance from the Sun, are:
Mercury
Venus
Earth
Mars
Jupiter
Saturn
Uranus
Neptune
It’s important to note that in the past, Pluto was considered the ninth planet in our solar system. However, in 2006, it was reclassified as a “dwarf planet” by the International Astronomical Union (IAU).
