What is an Eclipse? What are the types of Eclipse?

Eclipse And Its Types

Eclipse occurs mainly when one light source (sun) and two spacial objects (earth, moon) come in a line so that the shadow of one of the bodies completely or fully hides the other body. According to NASA and other major space research organizations, eclipse is generally categorised into two.

1 . Solar Eclipse

2. Lunar Eclipse

A solar eclipse occurs when the light from the sun gets blocked by the moon, and due to this, the sun is hidden from view during daytime. This happens when the moon comes between the earth and sun in the same line.

A lunar eclipse occurs when the light from the sun is blocked by the earth, and the shadow of the earth hides the Moon from view. This happens when the earth comes between the sun and the moon in the same line.

Some scientists divide eclipses again into full, partial, and hybrid.
