Best Summer Foods Hydration Tips
DEHYDRATION: When water is deficient in your body, dehydration occurs. Due to lack of water and other important fluids, our body can’t function normally. You can become dehydrated if you do not restore missing fluids.
CAUSES OF DEHYDRATION:
The most common cause of dehydration is a lack of water intake, excessive water loss, or a combination of the two.
Sometimes we do not drink water since we are too busy, lack the facilities or power to drink, or live in an environment without potable water.
1. Diarrhea– The large intestine retains water from food particles, but diarrhea avoids this. Dehydration occurs when the body excretes too much water.
2. Vomiting– causes fluid depletion and makes drinking water impossible to replace.
3. Sweating– In summer, we sweat a lot due to the hot weather. We lose water from our bodies in the form of sweat. When we are doing exercise or having a fever at that time also everyone sweats a lot.
4. Urinating frequently- People who have diabetes urinate a lot. Also, people who are on medication urinate frequently due to some medicines.
5. Burns– Damage to veins and arteries can cause fluid to leak into the surrounding tissues.
6. Diabetes– Excessive urination and fluid loss are caused by elevated blood sugar levels.

Summer is one of the most exciting seasons Inspite of the scorching sun on top of our head the wide variety and availability of various fruits and vegetables will cool winds in the later part of the day make this season wonderful.
But most often in summers we face a problem that is DEHYDRATION, due to excess heat, temperature and humidity our body tends to lose lot of water in daily basis and at this point if we fail to drink the required amount of water then we face Dehydration.
On one hand as nature creates such a problematic situation similarly on the other hand nature itself has even given way outs to deal with the same. Already I have mentioned about the wide range of availability of fruits and vegetables in summer and among them consuming many such fruits and vegetables help in increasing the water and glucose content of our body and keeps us fresh and energetic.
Fruits such as cucumber, watermelon, litchi, and pulpy green coconut have a great water content and keep us cool in the summer. Talking of summer fruits, we also have the king of all fruits, that is mango, which helps in dealing with the heat with its potassium and magnesium content.
In the vegetable segment, we have gourd, bitter gourd, and okra. Pumpkin keeps us cool on hot summer days and lets us enjoy the season.
