Importance of Educating a Girl

Why is it important to educate a girl?

Importance of Girls’ Education

Education is a basic necessity, just like food and water, and should be accessible to everyone, but very often we see that, especially in India that the key to access education is based on gender. Male students are given the right to education while the females are denied such a basic right. This discrimination has a huge adverse effect and a negative impact on society. It also reduces the amount of respect and the ability of logical reasoning in girls. From the very beginning, girls are treated as unequal and inferior. Lack of education in girls since a very early period has resulted in many evil social practices like sati daha and dowry.

Lack of education in girls forces them to believe in superstitions and make them take wrong decisions and exploits them in every step of life. So, it is of utter importance that girls should also get educated and treated equally in the society. Education gives the power to differentiate between what is right and what is wrong; it also provides the faith to believe in one’s self and live with dignity. Uneducated people are often fooled and taken advantage in wrong means.

The government had already taken many steps to educate girls, give them special facilities, and help them to come out of this vicious cycle. Now it’s our turn to implement these laws and get each girl educated. Education is the only path that brings success and glory to one’s life.

Education is the fundamental right of every child. But as we are living in male male-dominated country, here, men are considered as men and women are always viewed as soft and underrated. These things also seem to be very normal because this is what we have seen since we were born. Our society discriminates based on gender, which is also given by our society only, race, height and many more. People believe having a male child is considered as having everything in life. The purpose of life is now successful. But if you are a girl, you have to be polite, responsible, and careful about everything: your dressing, your speaking behaviour, your sitting behaviour, and everything. Yes, this is the truth about our country. The situation becomes speechless when the mother also supports their sons. After all, they are also girl, but don’t know why?

After discussing all these things, let us know why educating girl child is very very important:-

It is believed that if a girl gets educated, she will be able to educate her next 7 generations.

To stop these stereotypes thinking of the people girls need to be educated. I believe, giving birth to a baby is the choice of every parent; no one has forced them to do so, but when a child is birth, education is her right.

To make a girl economically, socially, and emotionally independent, she needs to get a proper education.

Education is the weapon by which we can cut all the barriers given to a girl. She is a human, and she deserves everything in her life.

Education also boosts up confidence and strength in them.

If a girl gets a proper education, the myth of having a male child will stop by the time.

If a girl gets educated, she can stand for herself, fight for herself, and win for herself.

Yes, educating a girl is very important and needed for our country. For having our better future.

Thank you!!
