You can just hand them the sheet and some scissors, but here’s how to turn it into a truly enriching experience:
1. Prep Your Space:
- Print the worksheet on slightly thicker paper like cardstock if you have it. It’s easier for little hands to handle, and glue won’t warp it as much.
- Gather your supplies: child-safe scissors, a glue stick (less messy than liquid glue!), and a flat surface to work on.
2. Make it a Conversation:
- Before they cut: Talk about the picture. “What do you think this will be? What shapes do you see? Can you find all the circles?”
3. Take It a Step Further:
- Color It In: Let them personalize their creation with crayons or markers first.
