Atoms: a gist
Atom can be defined as the smallest particle of a substance. It is the smallest unit of any ordinary matter. They are small, that cant be seen through the naked eyes.
Answering the question
No. No two atoms of the same element are identical. Firstly, atoms belonging to different electron belts, tend to have different states. For example, considering Copper, if one atom of sopper belongs to excited state, while the other belongs to the ground state, then the two atoms belong to different states. Since, the sates to which an atom is in is determined by its chemical nature and its presence is particular electron belt, hence, different atoms belong to different states and act differently in their specific states.
