We need to subtract the total expenses from the initial sum of money she had and add the gift amount she received.

    Let’s calculate:

Total expenses = Rs. 1000 (grocery price) + Rs. 500 (clothes price) + Rs. 400 (education fee) = Rs. 1900

Total amount received = Rs. 200 (gift amount)

Money left with her = Initial sum of money – Total expenses + Total amount of money received =

    Rs. x – Rs. 1900 + Rs. 200 = Rs. (x – 1700)

Therefore, Savitri has Rs. (x – 1700) left with her.
