  Making a paper bird, specifically an origami crane, is a classic and enjoyable craft. Here are step-by-step instructions to create one:

  Materials:

  • A square piece of paper (origami paper works best, but any paper will do)

  Steps:

  1. Start with the square paper:

     • Fold it in half diagonally to form a triangle. Crease well and unfold.
     • Fold it in half diagonally in the other direction to form another triangle. Crease well and unfold.

  2. Create the base:

     • Flip the paper over.
     • Fold the paper in half horizontally to form a rectangle. Crease well and unfold.
     • Fold the paper in half vertically to form another rectangle. Crease well and unfold.
