Autotrophs and Heterotrophs
Autotrophs and heterotrophs are two different organisms with distinct modes of nutrition. How are they different from each other?
Autotrophs and Heterotrophs
Autotrophs are the organisms that can prepare their own food. They didn’t depend on others for the preparation of their food. They prepare their food in the presence of sunlight by a process called photosynthesis. Autotrophs include plants, especially green plants. They prepare food and consume it, and also provide us oxygen.
Heterotrophs are organisms that cannot prepare their own food. They are dependent on plant products and animal products to fulfill their body’s demand.
We can say that the autotrophs are at the first level of the food chain animals and humans are at the third level of the food chain
Plants =====goat==== humans
In this, plants are autotrophs that prepare their own food. Goats are dependent on plants, so they are known as primary consumers, and goat are eaten by humans, they are called secondary consumers.
Hope you will be satisfied with my answer.
Thank you!!
